The video is about the US mail service which usually occur on a weekly basis.Sending mails is much more friendly in a way that the receiver will feel surprise when they receive and email from an lost old friend or the anxiousness when waiting a mail from a close family member or a lover.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds very interesting.It's very convenient to send a card,a letter and more.Althought we get a mail may wait 3~5 days.I think it is a long time.While we get the mail or card from the person we love.We will feel warm and fragrant.
ReplyDeleteMails are important to all of us,which can contect human beings tightly by means of a piece of paper.How surprising they are! They can bring you some feelings such as upset,vigor or discontent.When you feel homesick,you can sent a mail to relief your emotions.
ReplyDeleteHowever,mails can't simultaneously send to the other.Therefore,the convenient things that could communicate with people voice to voice are invented.
Mails are live in our world and we can't live without it.
Compare with this tradictional way, I like to send email or use MSN better. Although this way feels very warm and friendly,I still think it too trablesome. By using MSN or email, we don't spend money or time. Tradictional way ofter waste much time and spend money on envelope and postage stamp. Sending email just take you little time to finish far away contact. It is not only easy and cheap,but also can save papers and trees. I think maybe old people can't use computer, so they still use old ways,but new people should know new ways.
ReplyDeleteUnlike email,writing traditional mails can experss our emotions clearly.If we get homesick, it is not enough to communicate with others by email.We need more care when we feel nostalgia so receive one letter or card from family will make us feel better. Moreover, writing mail is more formal than email and it is still an polite way nowaday in our society,especially for the aged.
ReplyDeleteAccoring to the video, using mail to deliver emotions are still common is US. While living in the other city, you may miss your family, you may feel homesick, writing a mail become the best way to connect with your family members. By the way, reciving a mail from your friends or family, it may surprising you and touch your heart.
ReplyDeleteAs the widespread use of Internet, modern people deliver message by sending e-mail or by using live messenger. However, according to this video, mailing is still an important way to deliver message, the reason of why people still writing mail by hand is that it contain more sensations like saddens` sadness or happiness. That is, writing mail by hand has more reality and emotion.
ReplyDeleteI used to keep contact with a friend by traditional letters when I was in elemantary. I think the time I longged those letters writtened by my far away friend was indeed a fantasy. Since when the letters would arrive was unpredictable, I always got up early with vigor. Running to the mail box and check if I got a mail. Recalling this childhood's memory always make me feel I am a child again.
ReplyDeleteAs the advance of communication tool,people are more and more close to others,which brings some effect.For example,if there is argument between two people ,they may use e-mail to send their emotion constantly now.However,people may write letters to show their expressions which take two or three days to the other in old days;as the time went by,their anger may decreased gradually and became more sensible to their argument which was beneficial to their relationship.Therefore, despite the fact that mordern tools brings us convenience,we cannot ignore the importance of the old methods in the same time.
ReplyDeleteThe video is talking about deliver message by letters.In this time,there are more and more people sending message by cell phone and email.We ignore the important of the letter.Maybe most people think that letter is impatient for them to write.But sometimes we are discontent something happen in the school,have bad emotion,live discomfortablly with clasmates or get homesick,we all can write letter to parents or our brother and sister.By this way,the message will add to our sensation.So,we don't loss the concept of sendind message by letter.
ReplyDeleteThough the technology is advanced now,people seldom use mail to send message.But I think mail is still an important part of life.Mail is more sensible because you can see the hand writing of the sender.This feeling is totally different from E-mail.And the situation in this area is really special,there are few area still use mail commonly.So I think this special phenomenon is a good example for us to learn.

Although it is slower than telephone, it is also a good method to send message to people. Because it is completely different from telephone, it's more better.

ReplyDeleteThough E-mail is very convenient now, there are many people use traditional mails to communicate each other in US. I think it is good. Handwritten letter can show the emotions and sensation. When you recive a mail from your lover, you can see the familiar handwriting and you will feel warmer and surprising.

ReplyDeleteFrankly speaking , I would prefer the traditional mail instead of the former . Imagine a day you go far away for advancced study , you become homesick ang long for parents' greeting . A letter form your hometown would be a comfort as well as provides sensation of love .After all, technology always comes from Human.
I think that e-mail and handwritten envelopes have their own advantages, e-mail can make our lives more convenient, we can quickly communicate with other guy. Although not as easy as e-mail, handwritten envelope can express our feelings, let the letter be emotively.
ReplyDeleteI think mail includes emotion feelings in it , sometimes MSN and Emails are convenient, but it means a little arbitrary and random, when a person has homesick, an unexpected letter from home, would make him or her more energetic. Even though a mail needs a few days to arrive, it is still established the tradition way of keeping in touch, we only have to be more patient.

ReplyDeleteIf we live in other city,we may have homesick,saddens,or discontent. We can write a letter to our family for consolation. On the other hand,if we have happy experiences,we can also share our sensation of pleasure and how we energetic for life.
So,why don't we send hand-written letters to our family and friends ?

With the developing of technology, we contact to friends by using cell phone, MSN or sending e-mail. We can type the words what I want to express in MSN instead of preparing the a pen , a letter , and a stamp, it would save many time to prepare the necessary and go to post office. But writing a letter is not means that it’s a old-fashioned way, on the contrary, writing a letter would present a sincere attitude and give the people receive the letter a big surprise.

ReplyDeleteWhat's an interesting thing is that if you want to send a mail ,you can just stick it to mailbox,raise the red flag, the post officer will know it,and take it away for you rather than you go to the post office personally!
for my concept i prefer to receive the real mail than email, beacuse i think the email is just like the fantasy, you caan't really feel you got the mail, so for my opinion, i think the real mail is better. But forsome people the email is more convient and free, i agree this view, but i still think that email is too convient to have value.

ReplyDeleteNowadays,there are many types of communicating tools to send messages to people,and writing letters or sending e-mails is a way to let people know messages if you don't want to talk to him or her face to face.I think writing a letter by yourself and going to the post office to send a letter is a proper way to show a person's sincerity.So,I prefer the traditional way to send mails to people.

They can transmit emotions,like love and grief,by our hands.But,e-mail is too cold,just "Di Di Da Da"and check "send".I think they are used in different way.E-mail can use in business and government,they need it fast and easy.But sending to my important people,I would choose postman. by 曾奕淳
ReplyDeleteFormerly life was not so convenient and fast. Nowadays technology has improving our living so much. But it is really interesting in sending mails in U.S. And them even have a special mail box! Although people often feel anxious or discontent about waiting mails in the traditional way, the mail's handwriting by one we are familiar with is the e-mail cannot send to us. Handwriting's realities can connect sensations and emotions with each other. It is predictable how surprising we may feel that receiving a letter especially when we get homesick.

There is a interesting thing in the talk. The way of sending mail in America is different from Taiwan. They just need to put the mail into the mailbox and raise the red flag. You don't need to go to a post office for sending a mail. It's really convenient. The invention of the mailbox's red flag is cool.
