Well, mandatory volunteering sounds like a good idea to inspire kids givving and learnning. Nevertheless it's merely a theoretical thinking, or it just a classically scholastic viewpoint. In my own experiences, students didn't have intersts as what experts expected. They did the"volunteering", so that they could graduate sucessfully. Students really dindn't take it seriusly. And the last thing I have to say is that if we didn't devote to the communuty by our own passion, then how come this can be called"volunteering?"
ReplyDeleteIt`s a good idea to mandatory volunteering. We manage to help others by ourselves,and it makes us feel satisfied and self-esteem very much.Like one of my best friend, she takes her time to join in service club.She spent many time to care about children during high school life. Now she still takes her free time to service in hotspital. She likes to share her experience with me.and I can feel her passion when she told to me.So I think volunteerung is not only a mandatory work but a inspiring activity.Just to do it and we will learn more.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I take side with mandatory volunteering for I think it a motivation.Apparently, one is apt to do what they are interested in adn show his or her devotion;during the period of help others, some may obtain satisfaction or the experience they have never had.However ,others may just deem it as a boring ,tedious,hard-working work,and do it unwillingly.To be frank ,it is useless.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is a good way to let them do the uninteresting mandatory volunteering which has challenge.Personally,I have a proposal we can try to help those who need help.Maybe we can have a passion on it and donate our devotion.Perhaps it is a challenge,we may have satisfaction after help others.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I against madantory volunteering because be a volunteer must be based on people's own passion but others compel. People who do charity like donate or something challenging by their own voluntarism will be very proud and thrilled of their behaviors. And they would be willing to devote their whole life on it. Here's my proposal, parents and teachers should inspired children to cultivate their interest and give them some constructive ideas when they're young, so they would do charity with their will after they grow up.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion,I don't think mandatory volunteering is a good way to help people who are in need.We help others just because we know they need our help.Without asking for repaying,helping people from our mind may make us happy,and we can enjoy the good feeling after finishing it.However,if we are forced to be a mandatory volunteer,we won't have passion in doing the philanthropy and we will lose patience to the poors.
ReplyDeleteMandatory volunteering is a good idea to me.If I have the passion but there is no one to compel me to do that , I won't realize the proud of myself.
ReplyDeleteAlthough most of my classmate are against it , I think it's a good chance to challenge yourself.
Donating your money is also a way to devote yourself and your enthusiasm.
Just determine yourself and do something!

ReplyDeletebecause i think that the meaning of voluteering is not forcing someone to do voluteering.
If someone really wants to voluteering,I think that the behavier is not mandatory.
Take an example,If i have much money or ability,
I think I should do something to help some people.
It may seem a mandatory voluteering,however,it is a voluteering.
because i'd like to do it,not forced by someone!
I think it is necessary to everyone to do something good to our society whether we are forced to do it or not.
ReplyDeleteIf we are forced to do mandatory volunteering,we have an oppurtunity that we would not got before to help people in need.If we don't do mandatory volunteering in the first time, we will think it is an unmeaning work and won't get any benefits from it.
Although mandatory volunteering would compress our time,we can find the interesting from that and learn the experience different from before.

ReplyDeletea good idea but mandatory volunteering is not a good idea.If we are always mandated to do something,we won't know what the meaning is.So,mandatory volunteering is meaningless.
Everyone should know why we volunteer to help others not be mandated to volunteer.Because oneday we will need other's helping without any benefit,we should learn what volunteering is.Volunteer should be spontaneous,or it just waste time.
I would definitely say "NO" to mandatory.

ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea to have mandatory volunteering. It can not only be a challenge to students but also service somebody.Although students are forced, it still have benifit to people and students can have more experience on helping people. Maybe students will feel proudly that they could help people by themselves after mandatory volunteering

I think if the social do not push the activity like the mandatory volunteering.Most of the people must do not try it throughout their life.

I think it's not a good idea to have the mandatory volunteer.
ReplyDeleteI had been the volunteer, this winter vacation I also went to hospital to help the patients. when I helped them, they smiled to me and talked with me, I feeled warm when I saw their smile.
I think if you are not voluntarily to be a volueer, you cannot learn so much from this experiens.
I thought that it is necessary to ask people to devote.

Volunteering should be done by everybodies,
mandatory volunteering can let people find the

mandatory volunteering is not a good idea,it might be a challenge,but not everyone will have perfect experience ,first,mandatory means you are forced to do that,it's not volunteering anymore, second,it become meaningless ,because you can't really understand what you are doing.last,there is still many other ways for us to make the world better, to service poor people,mandatory volunteering is not necessary.

I think mandatory is a great idea to push students volunteering, sometimes people do not discover they interest or try new things, so by doing mandatory,it can inspire others to devote themself, though it may not start as their own decision, but if the person feels satisfied and happy, afer the mandatory he or she can keep doing services with the passion.
ReplyDeleteIt's not a good idea for me to do the mandatory volunteering. For first reason that I don't like it is "if I haven't finish my work(schoolwork for me), how do I have time to help others?", second, if I am pushed to do volunteering, I would take it as my work but not my interest.

Is mandatory volunteering a good idea? I don't think so. Mandatory volunteering is a contradictive thing. If a person do that because mandatory, he is not a volunteer. Many people do the mandatory volunteering without a determined will. They don't really want to devote themselves. They do it because they have to do it for the grade or credits. I think doing a volunteering needs the passion. If you do it without passion. You'll think it's boring. Then you won't think it's a good experience. I think telling the true meaning of volunteering is better than mandatory volunteering.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion mandatory volunteering is not a bad thing, in contrary, in our daily life(especially in Chinese culture.) we seldom have the chance to help a poor people or do something constructively for others, and we also lack of interest and passion to do it. Mandatory volunteering can inspire us the joy of helping others without paying, in this situation we will do it much more willing , and we can learn something which we can’t learn in our daily life. In general, most people is not lacking of sympathy but chance－and motivation too－.If there are a chance for us to experience the joy of volunteering for others, I think there will be more people to volunteer, and that is true satisfaction for them.

So,I do not think mandatory volunteer is a good idea.It is not because I do not like to help other people.On the contrary, I think help other people is a good thing ,but I think it should be inspired from the bottom of heart.If you are forced to do that,it's not volunteering anymore.It just an active that lose the true meaning of volunteering.

I think it’s a good idea to do volunteering. But I don’t think it’s ok to do mandatory volunteering. Because if you force people to do volunteering, they will learn fewer things from it. Furthermore, how could it called “volunteering”?

m...I think the mandatory is not a good way,though it may let some people want to do volunteer,but it also made more people to reject volunteer. Beside the philanropy is a job that need passion and care from heart, the forcer can't do it will.

I think mandatory volunteering is a good idea!No matter how we feel about that,even someone hates it,but all we are trying to do it at less.And then we must see something about the world or people who need helps so much.We don't donate billions of dollars;we can just devote ourselves to join any kinds of the volunteering.But people living in modern are always passive,there must have something to inspire our passion and interest. So we need an experience even a challeneg.Maybe we can do the community service first.After doing the volunteering,I believe we will smile in satisfaction for the fully day.Because we know the meaning of the saying "we are the world." And finally,the personal excuse isn't a big deal anymore.

In my opinion, I agree with the mandatory volunteering. Because I think without mandatory nobody can do the charity. Everybody like to accept help from other people but less people like to help other people. So I consider that mandatory volunteering is good for everyone.

ReplyDeleteSince I applied to the family of NCHU,I have gone to two mandatory volunteering of our university.
My first volunteering is on class,we go to clean our area every week.That is such a boring task for everyone.But in the second task,I chose the volunteering of associations of drama,we learn the skill of telling story to chlidren and make our clothes for performance by ourselves.
So,I think this thing (mandatory volunteering)is very great.
