Until the 1960's animals acted only on instinct ability. But how should we test the intelligence of the animal? Should we apply our standard to animals? Because the lives of animals are different from humans', we can't test the intelligence of animals on our standard. It is better, I think, that we should test their intelligence with the factors of their mental skills and the skill with which they can adapt to the environment.
ReplyDeleteanimal's live is really different with us as a human being, we cannot apply our standard to them and know their real mental abilities just by using IQ test. during nineteenth century, people already find out attribute of human emotion and mental abilities to animals. we can know how the animals can resemble us by using different test that meaningful in their daily life. and at many times, dog that envolve from wolves, can be a highly social animals and protective but in the other hands,they were used to sniff luggage to find whether there are drugs or not, and then give signal if they have found it. but actually they don't have any concept of drug illegality,even thinking and make decision. until 1960's, scientist just found that animals acted only by its instinct prevailed.
ReplyDeleteSeeing animals' unbelivible actions, people have kept wondering that are animals instinct or intelligent. Until twentieth centuries, people attributed emotions and mental abilities to animals instead only on instinct prevailed. Each sides had their typical examples, such as dolphins' intelligent and sniffing dogs. Moreover, we couldn't test animals' intelligent by IQ, which not only don't evaluate creativity and other important mental skills but also isn't appropriate for animals since their lives are so different with us.
ReplyDeletebefore 1960 most people thought animals acted only on instinct. but now we know it is difficult to tell if animals have intelligence . dolphins,dogs and a lot of animals show their skills and perform spetacular feats at different ways. is this intelligence?though drug dogs are good at their job,but they don't know what they are doing.if we want to measure animals intelligence, we must test something have meaning for them ,not use our standards to them.
ReplyDeleteWhen studying animals , we must test them in situations that have meaning for their lives,not ours.andnot just look to see how they resemble us.Trained creatures like sniffing dogs,dolpines,and so on,are the most likely cnadiates for genuine animal thinking,but their impressive performance symbolize the fact that they have the awarness what to do or maybe their instict factors ?We humans have IQ test,though it do not test creativity and other important mental skills,which is not suitable for animals.We may put ourselves into their shoes to create a more rigorous analysis to figure out this issue.

Animal's live is really different with human being,we can`t apply human concept and standard to them to know how their mental. When studying animals,we must test them in situation that have meaning for their lives,not ours,and not just look to see how much they resemble us.

Animals are different to us , and the IQ test is just for human. The view of scientists about animal intelligence changing with time, We still do not know which theory is true. Some animals can be trained, but the training posibility is not epual to their inteligence.

Animals are different from hunman being.And human being can understand what animals do in their lives.As a result,human being are not able to test animals whether they are intelligence or notwith human being concepts.To the end,people shoulid understand wht the meaning of their actions in their lives more.
